Since its establishment in 1998, The Society of Maternal Fetal Medicine and Perinatology, Turkiye has been serving as an effective association that offers its knowledge to physicians in its field of interest and contributes to their education in our country. It is a professional organization with a mission to organize trainings, support research, provide road maps for the better and more accurate realization of what is done in its field, and to protect the medico-legal rights of employees and service recipients within the framework of protecting and improving maternal and baby health.
The 14th National Congress of our society will be held on 23-26 October 2024 at Hilton Istanbul Bakırköy Hotel. In this congress, important information will be conveyed about the management of high-risk pregnancies, diagnosis of fetal anomalies and intrauterine surgeries with the participation of leading local and foreign scientists in the field. In our congress, our young colleagues as well as experienced scientists will have the opportunity to convey their work. Oral presentations and poster presentations will be an important scientific activity, especially for our young colleagues who are receiving gynecology and obstetrics and perinatology subspecialty training.
This year, the 10th South East European Society of Perinatal Medicine Congress, chaired by Prof. Dr. Acar Koç, will be held together with our 14th National Congress. The South East European Society of Perinatal Medicine is an influential association in Europe, consisting of leading scientists in the field of maternal fetal medicine and perinatology from 13 Balkan countries. We expect that holding these two congresses together will significantly increase the scientific level and participation.
The congresses of our association, which prioritizes science and mother-baby health and aims to share knowledge since the day we were founded, have always been productive and successful with high scientific content.
